The "Stubborn" Dog Myth

Spoiler Alert! 🚨🚨🚨

Dogs aren't actually stubborn. 🤭

What we often want to call stubborn is usually 'harder to motivate.'

The dog might also be, 'scared' (like Kobe in the photo), 'uncomfortable,' or even, 'physically limited or unable.'

Choice is a huge part of training at Koinonia. We want dogs choosing good behavior.
Anytime a dog chooses to not participate in an activity (training time, coming inside, going for a walk, getting in the kennel, etc.), we have to ask ourselves why?

What's actually going on with your stubborn dog? Comment with a stubborn situation and let's brainstorm!
