Yard Barking & Combat Pay

Can we talk about yard barking? Specifically, other dogs barking at you as you walk past with your dog?

I once heard a trainer describe this yard/fence/window barking as something akin to your neighbor yelling expletives at you.

With that perspective, I don't care how well-trained my dog is, he is ALWAYS going to get combat pay for dealing with that.

And if the walking route includes a lot of shouting dogs (especially if your reactive dog is struggling), I'm going to consider altering the route.

Could I teach my dog to be less bothered by the shouting? Yeah, probably. But *should* I?
